It's sad to see so many talented black actors going to waste in the shameful mess. Terrence Howard has great screen presence and Nia Long has proven to be a talented dramatic actress. Even Martin Lawrence showed some genuine acting ability playing the straight man to Eddie> Murphy in "Life". What do we get here? 90 minutes of garbage that wouldn't be out of place on the "WB". If I hadn't been dragged to see it by my ladyfriend I would have stayed far, far away from this loser. 0 stars out of 5.
This is one very funny movie, and I ought to know: I saw this in-flight after its release (on my way to my mother's funeral, no less!), and watched it without paying the $5 headset charge! I couldn't stop laughing; the tears were rolling down my face. Last night, I finally saw the movie on TV with words. It was still a riot, but I actually think I enjoyed it more without sound!!
Lawrence is so ON that he appears to be gunning for clockwork bursts of audience approval.
What I know is the scene shows that during that night Malcom who is dressed up as big momma took the big momma mask off so he could sleep better without his face sweating under the mask. That is why his musdache is showing. Then the next scene in the morning it shows he has put the Big Momma Mask back on probably after Sherry went to sleep so that she would not notice that who she thought was Big Momma laying next to her was a man. In order to obtain a BBFC-12 rating, four scenes, all involving fight sequences, had to be cut, e.g. head-buts or kicks. This leads to a difference of 8 seconds.
